June OwlCrate & Bookish Box unboxings!

Happy weekend, friends! Hope everybody’s staying cool. The weather is cloudy and humid today, but a little cooler than it has been all week which is a huge relief. My apartment is starting to look a lot more cozy, with a television and my first ever sofa! Next step is ordering some stuff for the walls and working on my bedroom. The goal is to upgrade to a bigger bed (I’ve got a twin right now) and to eventually get a desk. I’d also love to set up a little reading nook in my room as well, with a comfy chair and a small bookshelf!

Today, I’m doing a double book box unboxing! Keep reading below for full spoilers on the Owl Crate and Bookish Box June boxes.

This month’s OwlCrate box, themed All the World’s a Stage, includes the book Where Dreams Descend by Janella Angeles, which is expected to be released August 25th. This gorgeous OwlCrate exclusive naked hardcover features foil details, special end pages, and is signed. It also came with some vinyl stickers and a letter from the author. The box also included the monthly enamel pin designed by Blissfully Bookish Co, a set of four pencils with Shakespeare quotes, a Greatest Showman inspired weekly planner designed by Paperback Bones, mini donut flavored coffee from Bones Coffee Co, a Whipped up Wonderful shower steamer inspired by one of the cocktails in Ace of Shades, and a tin coin bank/pencil can designed by Forensics and Flowers inspired by The Night Circus.

My favorite item in this box is the monthly pin! This is Blissfully Bookish’s famous stamp design, which I am a huge fan of, and I love the little circus tent artwork. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with the weekly tracker, as I don’t use them, and I was really looking forward to the Greatest Showman item! I haven’t tried the coffee or the shower steamer yet, but am excited to get to them.

If you’re interested in checking out OwlCrate, please use my link here, which can be combined with a rep code for a discount off your first subscription! Currently, they’re only taking waitlist additions.

The June Bookish Box was inspired by the Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas, which I have yet to read. The book is Seasons of the Storm by Elle Cosimano and features an exclusive second dustcover designed by Katja Perez. We’ve also got a beautiful rose gold necklace, an art print by Diana Dworak, bookmark, monthly enamel pin designed by Dust and Pages, mug, tapestry by In the Reads, woodwick candle, and character tarot cards with art by Dark and Beautiful Art. Each item is designed with a season in mind!

I love this tapestry, which I’ve got hanging up, and the necklace! I was careless though, and my necklace chain has rusted… The charm looks ok though! I also like that every box includes a hand poured woodwick candle from the Bookish Box store. There’s also an option for subscribers to include a monthly shirt with their subscription, which I’ve received before in their April box. I’m currently subscribed to the book and goodies box, but for August, I’ve upgraded to get another shirt!

I’m still waiting for my July box, which sounds really exciting and beautiful, and they’ve announced their August YA box as a gorgeous star and moon themed box filled with aesthetic items. The book is the highly anticipated debut by Shveta Thakrar, Star Daughter! If you’re interested in subscribing, please use my link here and you can combine this with a rep code for 10% off your first order! As an active subscriber, you’ll also get 15% off and free shipping on anything in the add on store.

Do you subscribe to any book boxes? They’re a lot of fun and I love getting surprised every month with different bookish goodies! Let’s talk about merch and stuff! Drop me a comment or find me on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Goodreads)!

With love, Pei
