Tuesday again? No problem!
Today, I’m highlighting seven July 7th releases that I’m looking forward to! Please read on below to see what they are.
Mini ARC Reviews
Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall – 4.5/5
Wanted: One (fake) boyfriend. Practically perfect in every way. My wish for this was granted (!!!) by Netgalley and oh my gosh, this book is hilarious. Please pick up for an enjoyable read with lots of witty banter and some unexpected feels. Check out my full Goodreads review here.
Burn Our Bodies Down by Rory Power – 4/5
Haunting, terrifying, and brilliant. A thrilling mystery about what happens when you delve too deep into family secrets. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an e-ARC of this. Check out my full Goodreads review here.
B*WITCH by Paige McKenzie and Nancy Ohlin – 2.5/5
In a world where magic is forbidden, high school witches from rival covens band together to solve a mystery. Interesting premise but execution unfortunately fell flat for me. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an e-ARC of this. Check out my full Goodreads review here.
Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron – preordered!
It’s 200 years after Cinderella found her prince, but the fairy tale is over. Teen girls are now required to appear at the Annual Ball, where the men of the kingdom select wives based on a girl’s display of finery. If a suitable match is not found, the girls not chosen are never heard from again. Add it on Goodreads here. There’s also a preorder campaign to snag an exclusive pin here.
Unravel the Dusk by Elizabeth Lim – preordered!
Maia Tamarin’s journey to sew the dresses of the sun, the moon and the stars has taken a grievous toll. She returns to a kingdom on the brink of war. This is the sequel to Spin the Dawn, and you can add it on Goodreads! Check out the author’s website for some swag if you’ve preordered.
The Damned by Renée Ahdieh – preordered
Following the events of The Beautiful, Sébastien Saint Germain is now cursed and forever changed. War between the immortals seems imminent. The price of loving Celine was costly. But Celine has also paid a high price for loving Bastien. Add it on Goodreads and enter the preorder campaign!
The Shadows by Alex North
Twenty-five years ago, Charlie Crabtree commited a murder so shocking that it’s attracted that strange kind of infamy that only exists on the darkest corners of the internet–and inspired more than one copycat. To clarify, what I want is for one of you to read it and tell me all about it because I love knowing how thrillers end despite being very scared haha. Check it out on Goodreads!
What upcoming releases are you excited for? Let me know in the comments below, or feel free to reach out to me on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Goodreads)! Hoping for a good week for everybody, and I’ll see y’all around!
With love, Pei
